Description of the hamlet and the apartments
Ripostena is a family-run Holiday House nestled in the Montagnola Senese hills, in the Province of Siena (Tuscany), an area of outstanding natural beauty. The ancient hamlet has been restored according to traditional Tuscan style and equipped with all amenities to make you feel at home. It is located in a panoramic position: from the pool and the many terraces there are stunning views of the Tuscan countryside, including the town of San Gimignano and the Chianti region. Ripostena is the perfect place to spend a relaxing vacation surrounded by nature. The property, entirely fenced-in, is made of 5 hectares (12 acres) of colorful and carefully maintained gardens and oak and chestnuts woods. The marvelous external woods that surround Ripostena have many paths to explore.
Ripostena is the perfect place for families with any age kids, couples and reunions of family or friends.

On the property there are 2 houses and 8 apartments. All the accommodations have their own independent entrance and are large, bright and comfortable. Some of them have a private garden. All of them have one or two terraces (in many cases with view) and are covered and completely furnished with table, chairs and bbq. The houses/apartments are finely restored and have terracotta floors, wooden beamed ceilings, arches and wide glass windows. They are composed of one, two or three bedrooms, one or two bathrooms and a large living and dining area. The kitchens are fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove top, oven and dishwasher and microwave (on request). Some apartments have air conditioning.

Our guests share common areas such as: infinity pool overlooking the valley, 5 hectares (12 acres) of colorful and carefully maintained gardens and green areas, picnic area, children’s playground, recreation room with ping pong and table football and an unforgettable panoramic terrace with stunning views of the Tuscan countryside, including the town of San Gimignano and the Chianti region.

Getting Around
Ripostena is located in a strategic position: Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni and the Chianti region are all within easy reach. For hiking lovers, the area has many paths to explore, alone or with a guide.
A car is necessary for reaching Ripostena. The last 2,5 km (1,6 miles) is an unpaved country road. Ample free parking is available.
In the nearest village, 4 km (2,5 miles) away, you will find a grocery store, a coffee bar, a pharmacy and other shops.
The nearest town, Colle di Val d’Elsa, is 15 km (9,3 miles) away. From Colle di Val d’Elsa there are several buses to Florence, San Gimignano and other towns.
