[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] The property is an old farmhouse renovated with care, discretion and very good taste. It is isolated and ideal for peaceful rest.
The swimming pool is very pleasant and chlorine-free.
The owners are charming, very attentive and provide very good advice on places to visit nearby.
Noi ci siamo trovati benissimo
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Comfortable cabin, equipped with everything you need for a beautiful stay. Peace and quiet and open space for our 4-legged friends who were free to run around in the garden. The owner was very kind and very available to give us directions for our beautiful walks. I recommend this property to those who want to spend a quiet holiday and be in contact with nature. We had a great time.
A slightly mixed picture....a lovely house and beautiful grounds/pool, and a fantastic location to explore the wonderfully rich local area....but for a family with children it took time to relax following rather a set of draconian warnings on arrival of the potential for penalty charges during your stay.... ("the doors cost $X000 to replace, the sinks cost $Y000"...."you cannot sit here, don't sit there"...."if you break a plate it will cost $X, if you loose a spoon it will cost $Z"...and don't even think about leaving the cushions outside..!). Appreciate that the owners are understandably proud and protective of a loverly house, but it wasn't a warm welcome....that said, we certainly managed to have a lovely couple of weeks...(and avoid any breakages/charges....!)
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] The holiday apartment is postcard-like on a small hill, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and farmland. Right next door is a busy bar where you can eat very well. For shopping in Castelfiorentino it is about 4km away. The car is recommended here.
The apartments are very spacious in terms of space. Equipped with everything necessary and very clean. No air conditioning, but we didn't need it, even though it was 35-38°C during the day, it cooled down pleasantly at night.
Kitchen with gas stove, refrigerator & dishwasher and small table oven.
Attention: no coffee machine, only espresso maker for the gas stove or Bodum press, no kettle, no "real" oven.
The contact person (Lorenzo) was very friendly and always helpful.
Pool is very clean and has shaded areas and enough loungers.
There is also a charcoal grill near the pool.
Conclusion: Highly recommended! We would book the apartment again.
We stayed for one week at the La Capanna apartment in San Gimignano and it was wonderful. The setting is perfect, just a 10 minute (or less) outside the old city walls, but in vineyard territory so you feel as if you are in the countryside. There is a pool which is shared by the other apartments on the site, but was virtually deserted most of the time we were there, so we had it almost to ourselves. And the family which runs the site are very friendly and helpful. I can well recommend staying there.
The villa was superb, lovely and spacious and very well equipped. Location was beautiful and pool was amazing. The host Beatrice was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.
