Descriptif de la Propriété

Appartement en location au cœur de San Gimignano nés de la restructuration d’une tour du XIIIème siècle dont la hauteur est de 48m; dans la cité de San Gimignano il y a 14 tours. Cette tour fut construite par la famille Salvucci. Aujourd’hui San Gimignano Tower est l’unique tour habitable de la cité.

Le appartement “Tower” offre un séjour idéal aux amants de l’histoire et à qui désire séjourner dans l’une des plus caractéristiques et fameuses villes de la Toscane.

L’appartement “Tower” peut accueillir 3/4 personnes et se développe sur 11 étages. Au dernier étage se trouve une terrasse spectaculaire d’où l’on jouit d’une vue incroyable à 360° sur la cité et les collines de la Toscane.

La circulation est interdite dans le centre de San Gimignano. Ces appartements sont déconseillés aux enfants.

Distances: l’entrée des deux appartements en location donne directement sur la plage principale du centre de San Gimignano où se trouve le Dôme et l’hôtel de ville. A deux pas, « Piazza della Cisterna » délimitée par de magnifiques demeures, hôtels particuliers et anciennes tours. Poggibonsi à 11km, Certaldo à 13km, Volterra à 28km, Sienne à 45km, Florence à 55km, Cecina avec plages à 75km, Pise et Montalcino (capitale du fameux vin Brunello) à 80km, Lucques à 85km, Pienza à 105km, Arezzo à 118km.

La tour a été restructurée et transformée en une habitation de charme qui garantit un séjour unique et « hors du temps ».
L'ameublement moderne et confortable dans ce cadre antique a créé une atmosphère particulièrement plaisante et délassante.
La tour se développe sur 11 étages. Le dernier étage offre une terrasse équipée d’où l’on jouit d’une vue splendide à 360°.
Un escalier ,d’env. 160 marches, relie les différents étages.
Chaque étage à une surface d’env. 10m2 et les murs en pierres une épaisseur de presque 2m.
La tour est un édifice historique et l’ameublement a été adapté à l’espace.
Cette tour est conseillée aux amants de l’histoire et à qui désire un séjour unique et hors du commun.

2ème étage: petit vestiaire ;
3ème étage: zone repas avec coin-cuisine (freezer) ;
Mezzanine: coin-lecture ouvert sur la zone repas ;
4ème étage: petite salle de bains avec douche ;
5ème étage: pièce de passage avec table et chaises;
6ème étage: 2 lits partiellement superposés (80 x 190cm) ;
7ème étage: une chambre avec lit à une place et demie (115 x 190 cm).
8ème étage: petite bibliothèque ;
9ème étage: WC.
10ème étage: kitchenette (freezer).
11ème étage: terrasse équipée (14m2) équipée d’où l’on jouit d’une vue splendide à 360° sur la villa et la campagne environnante.

Unsere drei Tage im Turm waren einfach unvergleichlich. Die Atmosphäre in diesem alten Gemäuer mit der unfassbaren Aussicht von der 42 Meter hohen Dachterrasse werden wir nicht vergessen. Zum Sonnenauf- und Untergang klettert man freiwillig die vielen Stufen, da man keine Sekunde verpassen möchte.
Die Einrichtung ist angenehm modern und sehr praktisch auf die kleinen Räume abgestimmt.
Guilia, die Dame vor Ort hat uns herzlich und professionell betreut.

Vielen Dank für die tolle Umsetzung und die Möglichkeit sich in einem solchem Gebäude aufhalten zu können. Es ist für uns das Highlight gewesen.

We will not forget the atmosphere in these old walls with the incredible view from the 42 meter high roof terrace. At sunrise and sunset you voluntarily climb the many steps because you don't want to miss a second.
The furnishings are pleasantly modern and very practical for the small rooms.
Guilia, the lady on site, looked after us warmly and professionally.

Thank you for the great implementation and the opportunity to be able to stay in such a building. It was the highlight for us.

This was one of the most incredible and fantastic places I have ever stayed in. The view from the top terrace is simply amazing. You can spend hours just admiring the landscape and city below. The apartment is well furnished and clean. The second kitchen just below the terrace is very useful. An amazing job was done to adapt the tower to serve as a rental apartment. Also the check in was very quick and professional.

The view from the top of the tower from the terrace is one of the best views you will ever have in your life. It makes you feel like a celebrity to stay here. It is a very special place. Giulia the owner does a great job explaining how everything works and provides a very nice welcome "gift basket" with lots of helpful items. There is no question that you need to be somewhat fit to stay here due to all of the stairs but you get used to the logistics as the stay goes on and the view from the top makes it all worthwhile. San Gimignano is a stunningly beautiful town and it is even better at night and in the morning before the bus tours arrive for their visits. It is like something right out of a movie. Highly recommended for a very unique vacation.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the tower and recommend it to all who would like to spend their holiday, or at least part of it, directly in San Gimignano. You don't feel like a tourist when staying there. First class views and the facilities in the tower are excellent. I was treated very kindly by the discrete owners (Giulia in particular). I would happily go back. Understand the tower's origins and you won't have any problems with steps etc, rather you will appreciate, value, and enjoy it.

San Gimignano is a unique place. The town is inspiring and visually stunning, with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and everything you need for a very special week.

Torre di San Gimignano is a very special place to stay. Views to die for, breathtaking (both physically and visually - 180 stairs work off all the fantastic food and wine!) An unforgettable experience.

While you're there eat lots of ice-cream (Gelateria di Piazza - best in world!); Drink the local wine!; Try all the restaurants (in particular Ristorante Dorando' - not cheap but 10/10); Buy a leather handbag or two (Le Torri); Music festival week while we were there and evening entertainment with violinists and puppetry was great.

Highly recommend and we want to go back soon!
