Excellent location to Montalcino (10 minute walk to center of town)
Clean and Modern
Well set-up amenities for travellers (lots of wine glasses and extra power converters)
Beautiful views and quiet location (felt like home)

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home. The attention to detail and maintenance of the entire property is outstanding. We hope to return someday soon.

Comfortable, spacious and stylish villa within easy walking distance to Montalcino. Arrival and departure arrangements worked well. Everything was spotlessly clean on our arrival. Enjoyed Monica's meal. Kitchen however was cramped when catering for 7 people. Some noise on weekend evenings from nearby outside bar. Otherwise reasonably quiet despite proximity to the village and the main access roads.

A fantastic villa to stay for a week with loads of space inside and a huge back yard as well.
Also only 10 min walk to town. Recommend highly.

Cathy W. Ashburton (Australia)

Large villa on the outskirts of lovely Montalcino. Walking distance to great restaurants and supermarket

A beautiful and spacious home! Outside the walls of Montalcino, yet an easy walk into town. Red geraniums and Cherry trees, Cypress and fragrant Jasmine. A covered patio to enjoy meals outside. An unusually large yard with views of the church steeples in town. A pool, that was so refreshing after site seeing all day. Very private and very comfortable. A treasure! We had a wonderful week in Spuntone.

Great location; very convenient and very walkable to town

Despite a couple glitches (below), this is a superb villa.

Splendid house very close to Montalcino town centre (absolutely unusual for tuscany). Lots of space in a beautyful garden with fantastic views over the town. So we had a great time. Weak point: some noise annoyances due to nearby motor manual garden working (mid may).

prachtig ingericht sfeervol huis met heerlijke tuin, op loopafstand van het centrum van Montepulciano, ideaal

needs to improve safety in the master bedroom by installing a hand bar in the shower as the floor is very slippy. Also there is not a place in the master bedroom to put your clothes .On another topic, the key holder lady is very nice but it will help if she knew a bit of English, French or German. So it can be improved but it is beautiful place conveniently located.

Beautiful Villa! This villa more than met our expectations - it was spacious, clean, quiet and centrally located. Monica (key holder) was wonderful and we booked her to come cook us an authentic Tuscan meal one night - it was fabulous. We loved the fact that we could walk into town every day and yet when we were at the villa, we felt like we were miles from anyone. It has all the amenities you could want - and the wifi connected easily and worked well. We will definitely recommend this property to our friends and hopefully we will be back one day to enjoy it again ourselves.

A beautiful villa in a lovely location on the edge of the village. Spacious accomodation.

My family (4 adults and 1 baby - mix Canadian/Australian) stayed at the Spuntone villa in Montalcino in July 2013 and I must say it was a real treat. To say that we were blown away upon arrival is an understatement - the villa and property are much better than they appear online (and it looked great online!).

The villa itself is very large inside and could easily accommodate a group larger than ours. The owners of this villa have struck a fantastic balance between that traditional italian village feel with the mod cons that many travellers now value (wifi, modern kitchen, renovated bathrooms, etc.). The bedrooms are large and comfortable with beautiful views of the valley and town. The bathrooms are very well renovated and numerous with 4 to share! The living and dining areas are both large with high ceilings. The kitchen is on the smaller side but it did the trick and comes fully-loaded with everything you could want. The property itself is stunning with an outdoor dining area (undercover) and pool with deck chairs.

The villa is on the edge (walking distance) of an amazing hilltop town called Montalcino that is postcard perfect. If you are a wine lover then the region is the place to be and you'll get to know the famous 'Brunello di Montalcino' and others. There are lovely restaurants, small boutique shops and you're never far from gelato!

We had a rental car and comfortably made day trips to Sienna (1 hour) and Florence (2 hours). We much preferred staying in this wonderful little village and making trips to the bigger towns/cities as opposed to the opposite as it was a very relaxing way to see Italy.

Montalcino was only 3 hours drive from Rome and finding your way from the airport (if you're flying into Rome as we did) was easy with GPS.

All-in-all I can say that this villa and holiday dramatically exceeded my expectations and I can only hope to return again in the future.

We stayed 7 nights from 1-8 September 2012. This is a beuatifully furnished property and a perfect location only a few minutes walk from the town centre. The facilities were great although the kitchen was rather small to cater for people but this was a minor draback and didn't spoil our stay. The owner and people looking after the property were friendly and helpful especially when we asked asked if another 2 people could stay in a house advertsied as sleeping up to 7.It also had good secure offstreet parking. Th dining outside and availability of a pool made the holiday a fantastic experience.

What a wonderful villa! So close to Montalcino and such beautiful grounds. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay in this delightful villa.

My family of 5 had a wonderful time at Spuntone. The pictures really do not do justice to the house. It is larger than it appears on-line, beautifully landscaped and decorated, well-stocked and perfectly located. The kitchen is small, but worked fine for us. We were a little concerned about noise the first night we arrived (a Saturday), but things were much, much quieter the rest of the week. We took trips throughout Tuscany during the day, returned in the late afternoon and let the kids swim in the pool, and then walked into town at night for a gelato and/or glass of brunello. It was a fantastic experience.

This was a great house. It was beautiful, clean, secure and functional. Six adults used it as our base to explore southern Tuscany (and Brunello!). The back yard is perfect for an apero and the dinning room can match any meal you can put together. Best of all, Spuntone is within easy walking of all the restaurants in Montalcino, meaning everyone can taste the local wines without having to have a driver. Viva Spuntone.

This is a very authentic Tuscan Villa set on over an acre of land overlooking both Montalcino and the surrounding valley. The grounds are planted with multiple fruit trees and of course olive trees and some grape vines. The house was very well appointed and catered for our party of 7 adults very easily. We arrived in early October 2010 for a weeks stay to be greeted by Monica who showed us through the home. Our days were spent with a casual 5 minute walk into town to have our morning expresso, explore the tiny lane ways and local shops and of course drink lots of Brunello wine. Highly recommend! Sandra,Brisbane,Australia
